Amazing Core Variation!

There are so many important muscles in the body. The fact is that they are all important, each and every one of them. They all add to and make up what is the amazing human body. And, if you are reading this, you value your body and want to mold it into the most efficient vehicle possible. So you must wonder what in the world holds this whole machine together?

Well, the core plays a major part in this. In fact, the core keeps your body upright and moving. Essentially, the core is that invisible power that holds us up, prevents us from injury, and keeps us strong. We mostly associate the core with our midsection, which is fair, except that that midsection really penetrates and has an effect on the entire body.

To get abdominals, a strong back, strong legs, well really to bulk up every muscle in the body, you need a strong core. The core stabilizes the body. Therefore, a weak core could impeded muscle growth, plus even more revealing, it increasing the risk of injury. Doing movements such as squats or deadlifts with a weak core is just asking for an injury.

Most people assume that working the core means working the abdominals. That is just not true. Although abdominal exercises do work the core to an extent, it is still important to implement some form of a core exercise into your workout. I want to provide for you one of the most effective core movement there is.

I am referring to the abdominal wheel. Many of you may have already heard of this. Basically it is a small wheel with handles. You get on your knees with your hands holding the wheel, and leaning on the wheel. Then just roll the wheel out, at the same time extending your body, until your chest nearly touches the floor.

I want to offer you a variation on this. I am really offering this to everyone but mostly to those who are more advanced as this is a more difficult form of the ab wheel.

Instead of using the Ab wheel, grab the dumbbells! Take two dumbbells, the round type, and do the same this as you would do with the ab wheel. Put each hand on each on of the dumbbells and lean and roll them out then bring them back. This is a unique way to work the core, and also the triceps and biceps. It requires more movement.

The innovative thing about this is that it can always get harder. The heavier the weight you use the more resistance. So grab an ab wheel or if you can, some dumbbells and try out this amazing core burner!
